Technical Trainer (#7029)

We seek an experienced Technical Trainer to join our Solution Delivery Team! This position will be based in Falls Church, VA. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Some travel may be required. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

  • Provide technical training for employees, partners, and customers on the use of the BizFlow product.
  • The trainer will be expected to play a key role in development of training material and training of our employees and customers.
  • The trainer will be expected to work independently with minimal supervision, and must possess superior communication and customer relations skills.
  • Obtain information needed to prepare in-house and external training programs; prepare training materials; develop course content; determine methodology; and coordinate the development of training aids.
  • Conduct training sessions and develop criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
  • Continuously revise lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.

Required Knowledge & Experience:

  • 5+ years of technical training experience
  • 3+ years of consulting experience highly preferred
  • Strong experience and working knowledge of workflow technologies and training in workflow technologies / Business Process Management
  • Excellent writing skills, including ability to develop, write, and proofread training materials and courses
  • Create new training courses for BizFlow products and services, that meet or exceed our customer expectations, in a timely manner; create training courses that will allow non-experts to provide training to our customers
  • Create demonstrations for training sessions and customer presentations
  • Create BizFlow training material and courses: training binders, training demonstration software for courses, training certificates, coordinate shipping to deliver training material to training site
  • Conduct training sessions: provide training on BizFlow products and services to both internal and external customers
  • Coordinate training schedule with the hiring and training demands of both internal and external customers
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools to generate training documentation
  • Must be able to read, interpret documents such as technical data, operating, maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of Java and MS Technologies
  • Knowledge of application and web servers including: BEA WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, Tomcat
  • Experience with internet related architectures and web services applications using J2EE
  • Knowledge of development on one or more operating systems: UNIX (Solaris, HP, AIX), LINUX, and Windows Server 2000/2003
  • Knowledge in either MS SQL or Oracle

Required Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of: Web Technologies and Development Tools, Microsoft Client and Server Technologies, Unix platforms and Oracle. A functional understanding or major CRM, ERP, MRO and E-Commerce applications. Knowledge of Workflow applications a plus.
  • Hand-on Experience with: Microsoft Office/IIS/Windows 2000/SQL Server. HTML scripting and any type of previous application development. Visual Basic/JSP/XML a plus.

  • Ability to work independently to complete project activities; possessing initiative to address issues and opportunities – leadership in front of customers
  • Must have strong English language skills and the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently both with internal and external customers; develop strong internal staff relationships towards developing course materials
  • Prior experience working in a consulting firm highly preferred
  • Flexible and able to work under tight schedules to meet deadlines
  • Creative, collaborative, and team-oriented; ability to work with all staff levels

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field of study
