We seek an experienced Solutions Engineer to join our Solutions Engineering Team! This position will be based in Falls Church, VA. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Travel is required. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide Pre-Sales Support for all Partner and Customer Engagements Including:
- Technical Presentations
- In Person and Webex product demonstrations
- Custom demo development and delivery
- Preliminary customer requirements gathering
- Proposed technical solution development (including interfacing to existing client systems and complimentary solutions)
- Lead on responding to all technical RFP questions for assigned opportunities
- Liaison with Professional Services to assist in the development of SOWs
- All support required for product evaluation by customers or partners which may include product installation and configuration, technical trouble shooting, education and training.
- Coordinate with Professional Services, Product Marketing and/or other organizations as customer needs as the sales cycle dictate.
- Willing and able to travel up to 50%.
Required Business Skills:
- Strong Communication Skills both oral and written
- Must have strong English language skills and ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with all customers and all staff levels in a professional and courteous manner.
- Strong Presentation Skills
- Strong understanding of the sales cycle and the SE role within a technology software company
- Strong understanding of common business systems
- Strong understanding of Workflow and Workflow industry a plus
Required Technical Skills:
Knowledge of: Web Technologies and Development Tools, Microsoft Client and Server Technologies, Unix platforms and Oracle. A functional understanding or major CRM, ERP, MRO and E-Commerce applications. Knowledge of Workflow applications a plus.
Hand-on Experience with: Microsoft Office/IIS/Windows 2000/SQL Server. HTML scripting and any type of previous application development. Visual Basic/JSP/XML a plus.
Required Education and Experienced:
- 5+ years of experience in technical software sales
- B.S. degree in Computer Science, MBA a plus
