BizFlow Software Developer / Consultant - TS-SCI (#7037)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

• Develop enterprise workflow solutions for HandySoft’s global clients
• Work individually or on development team to deliver BizFlow and customized applications for HandySoft customers using Java, SQL, and XML technologies
• Design and develop application prototypes, utilities, and solutions across multiple environments using full life-cycle methodologies (requirements definition, design, development, testing, and implementation)
• Consult with clients and recommend best practices for successful implementation; interview customer technical personnel; gather technical requirements and develop design specifications
• Produce specifications and design documentation including process flow, object/class models, sequence diagrams, system and web services interface specifications, data dictionary and data model, etc.
• Participate in internal design reviews and code reviews; perform unit testing and conduct system testing
• Assist with and provide input to implementation plans and operational plans
• Create project work estimates under close supervision of a Project Manager or a Sr. Software Developer; Report progress to internal manager and/or the client manager in a timely and effective manner
• Work based on priorities and resolve project issues, escalating when appropriate

Required Knowledge & Experience:

• 5+ Years experience developing and implementing enterprise applications using a full life cycle development process, such as RUP, IE, Agile methodologies.
• 3+ years experience in some of Java, J2EE, JSP, JMS, Spring Application Framework, Struts Framework, Hibernate, JasperReports, AJAX, HTML and scripting languages, etc.
• 1+ years external consulting experience
• Security Clearance: Top Secret-SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
• Experience with XML, XSL/T and XML Schema design
• Experience with Web Services, AXIS, and understanding of web service standards.
• Solid knowledge of development on one or more operating systems: UNIX (Solaris, HP, AIX), LINUX, or Windows Server 2000/2003
• Knowledge in either MS SQL or Oracle as well as strong SQL and database design experience
• Knowledge of web application servers including one or more of BEA WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, Apache Tomcat
• Working knowledge of portal solutions (BEA, IBM WebSphere, Plumtree, Sharepoint)
• Able to produce commercial quality specifications and design documentation including process flow, object models, class models, sequence diagrams, system and web services interface specifications, data dictionary and data model, etc. with UML notation
• Strong verbal and written skills including experience presenting to customers, reports and technical documentation

Essential Attributes:

• Must have problem solving and analytical skills, as well as the ability to develop functional specifications
• Ability to work on problems of limited scope and conduct analysis of data processes
• Ability to work independently to complete project activities; possessing initiative to address issues and opportunities
• Must have strong English language skills and ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with all customers and all staff levels
• Prior consulting experience is highly preferred
• Flexible and able to work under tight schedules to meet deadlines
• Ability to implement solutions and identify operational or management issues at a customer or partner site
• Creative, collaborative, team-oriented
• Willing and able to travel up to 75%

Required Education and Experienced:

• B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics or equivalent, Masters degree a plus.
