Inside Sales Specialist (#7039)

We seek an experienced Inside Sales Specialist to join our Solution Delivery Team! This position will be based in Falls Church, VA. Some travel may be required. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Roles and Responsibilities
Pursue Lead Generation activities and support Partner development:

  • Identify and qualify business opportunities for the field sales force. Work as a team player with the sales team and assist them in building the pipeline and meeting sales quota objectives.
  • Cold call into targeted areas to grow business; qualify a minimum of 5 - 10 per week.
  • Add at least 10 new opportunities to SalesLogix / Salesforce.com each month, 30 per quarter.
  • Within assigned territory, qualify all prospects resulting from marketing programs such as webinars, direct, and trade-shows.
  • Participate in all department meetings and cold calling events.
  • Respond to all inquiries in the same business day.
  • Assist sales team with organizing, promoting, and executing local user group meetings, seminars, and webinars.
  • Call all customers within one week of receiving their purchase order.
  • Work with the training department to ensure all new training orders are getting scheduled and delivered.
  • Contact all customers as appropriate. Develop methods/approaches, which will grow the customer base, reduce costs, and enhance customer service.
  • Keep up to date with all follow-up calls marked in SalesLogix / Salesforce.com.
  • Develop and maintain a time management plan to achieve maximum performance and phone time. Goal time is to reach 20 prospects/customers per day.

Required Business Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have strong English language skills and ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with all customers and all staff levels in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Strong Presentation Skills
  • Strong understanding of the sales cycle
  • Strong understanding of common business systems
  • Strong understanding of Workflow and Workflow industry a plus

Required Technical Skills: Must be conversant with the business issues faced by companies implementing e-business strategies, including the use of technologies such as workflow, EAI solutions, EIP, content management and collaboration.

Understanding of: Web Technologies and Development Tools, Microsoft Client and Server Technologies, Unix platforms and Oracle. A general understanding or major CRM, ERP, MRO and E-Commerce applications.

Proven track record of profiling accounts, delivering value propositions and account qualification.

Software: MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)

Required Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years of inside sales/telemarketing experience
  • 2+ years of e-business application software experience to Federal and Public Sector Agencies
  • B.S./B.A. degree required in Business Administration, Marketing or related field
