Sr. Account Executive, Federal Sales (DoD) (#7042)

We seek an energetic Sr. Account Executive to join our Federal Sales Team! This position will be based in Falls Church, VA. Travel is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

  • The primary responsibility is that of targeting, closing, and cultivating channel partner relationships.
  • Develop federal business opportunities within the top 50 to top 25 DC integrator community for the Department of Defense and intelligence communities.
  • Develop business case for bid recommendations including a win strategy, competitive analysis, and pricing justifications.
  • Achieve revenue objectives as assigned.
  • Identify and qualify major collaborative opportunities, customer requirements, and decisions.
  • Be knowledgeable of the account buying history and the competitor’s positioning.

Required Knowledge & Experience:

  • 5 or more years of proven experience selling complex software solutions to federal clients (80% built on Federal/DOD Sales for workflow, EAI, etc. AND 20% on Marketing/Channels/Partner/Strategic Practices, etc.).
  • Proven experience selling enterprise software solutions to the following government agencies: Army, Navy, Marine Corp, Air Force, Intell — FBI, DIA, NSA, NIMA, CIA, NRO, and DoD joint agencies – DISA, DLA, DFAS.
  • Must have highly developed experience and active relationships within the top 50 or top 25 Washington, DC Integrator community.
  • Must be a serious and established player in workflow for BPM, EAI, CRM, ERM, etc.; have knowledge of the following technologies/processes: EAI, B2B, B2Bi, and Business Process Automation.
  • It is highly desirable that the candidate understand technology issues faced by organizations implementing middleware solutions.
  • Must understand data and business process integration requirements.
  • Must be able to partner effectively with application vendors and system integration companies.
  • Must have experience supporting channel partners through the development of comprehensive business plans that focus on clear objectives and success criteria.

  • Must have excellent business communication skills, including interpersonal, presentation, and writing skills
  • Must be efficient and effective in federal sales, business development, opportunity management, and account planning (ideal candidates will have had $2 million quotas)
  • Must be a team player and deploy a solution sales approach with an urgent manner
  • Must thrive in an environment that promotes empowerment, accountability and measurements
  • Prior consulting experience is a plus, including ERP software sales
  • Flexible and able to work under tight schedules to meet deadlines
  • Willing and able to travel
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel) and Internet research tools

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or related field.
