Company Overview

Established in 1991, HandySoft was founded with the ambition to develop software that makes work easier. “Handy” means easy to use, conveniently available, accessible, easily maneuvered, and manually adroit. As founder, Mr. Ahn and his team of engineers applied this concept of usability in our software design and development.

HandySoft’s first step toward producing practical, easy-to-use applications was the development of its word processing and handwriting recognition software. In 1993, HandySoft added solutions addressing groupware and collaboration. Based on strong market acceptance and customer feedback, HandySoft added workflow automation.

By 1997, HandySoft had become a leading workflow software vendor. We were the first to include modeling with business rules capabilities, forms development, and user interfaces into the same solution platform. And we were the only company successfully providing workflow automation among commercial and governmental organizations.

In 1999, HandySoft officially launched BizFlow® for Business Process Management (BPM). Workflow management solutions evolved into BPM-driven applications by adding significant new functionality into the base platform for process monitoring and application integration. Now, almost 10 years later, BizFlow® version 11 is the leading BPM platform for designing and executing process-driven applications. BizFlow® is built on standard platform technologies such as JAVA, BPMN, BPEL, Web Services, SOAP, XML, and WSDL. And it provides an entire suite of BPM functionality including process simulation, business activity monitoring, dynamic tasking, and critical path analysis.

Prior to each deployment, HandySoft and/or its partners analyze and document each customer’s specific business needs, processes and metrics. This knowledge base is then applied to a proven implementation methodology to establish a mutually agreed upon definition of success. Training

HandySoft University provides practical training to help our customers get the most out of BizFlow® and our software solutions. The Company’s training courses are designed by IT professionals and subject matter experts with extensive BPM experience. They cover process design, process administration, and forms development. Classes are held in Falls Church, VA, on-the-road, or online.
